Upcycled Furniture

Here's an example of what we can do to refresh pre-loved pieces. A set of all wooden chairs from a well known pub chain used for a number of years as a dining chairs.

Frames stripped, sanded and renewed with two coats of Annie Sloan Graphite Chalk Paint and Dark Wax. Two inches of medium density foam with a fire resistant interliner and Almond Blossom-Blue velvet now provides a comfortable and visually striking transformation.

American Style Diner stools should be upholstered in Black, Red or White vinyl - right? Well, not at kwerk-e!

We thought - let's go off the wall a bit with these. Sourced via a well known auction site, we've polished the chrome to a real shine and added a layer of genuine Harris Tweed Green Check Hazel fabric.

So less 50s Diner and more Man Cave, Home Bar or Breakfast Bar! Scotch anyone?

Working from home has never been more stylish and fun. Bureau and Chair upcycled from a outdated Yew veneered look by means of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey accented with a vibrant Emperor's Silk interior. All protected with a layer of Dark Wax. Chair upholstered in a hard wearing cotton fabric that tones with the woodwork.
